(R,R)-(-)-1,2-Ethanediylbis[(2-methoxyphenyl)phenylphosphine]rhodium(I) BF4 - Introduction
(R,R)-(-)-1,2-Bis[(o-methoxyphenyl)(phenyl)phosphino]ethane (1,5-cycloctadiene) rhodium(I) tetrafluor ((R,R)-(-)-1,2-Bis[(o-methoxyphenyl)(phenyl)phosphino]ethane (1,5-cycloctadiene) rhodium(I) tetrafluor) is an organometallic compound, it is often used as a catalyst for chiral ligands in metal-catalyzed reactions.
Properties of the compound:
-present in solid form, usually yellow crystals.
-Has a high melting point and boiling point.
-Soluble in solvents, such as chloroform, chlorinated methane, etc.
-is a chiral compound whose two ligand molecules exist in the form of enantiomers (R,R)-and (S,S).
Use:
-As a catalyst, it is widely used in asymmetric synthesis, such as carbonylation reaction, addition reaction and electrophilic substitution reaction.
-can be used for the synthesis of chiral organic small molecules and drugs.
Preparation Method:
(R,R)-(-)-1,2-Bis[(o-methoxyphenyl)(phenyl)phosphino]ethane(1,5-cyclooctadiene)rhodium(I) tetrafluor can be prepared by the reaction of a synthetic ligand and rhodium metal. A common method of preparation is to add [rhodium(cod)chloride]2 (((1,5-cyclooctadiene) rhodium (II) dichloride) to the 1,5-cyclooctadiene ligand and then add the 1,2-bis [(O-methoxyphenyl) (phenyl) phosphine] ethane ligand and finally add tetrafluoroboric acid to give the final product.
Safety Information:
The compound needs to be used and handled with care and in accordance with the relevant safety procedures of the laboratory.
-May be harmful to the organism, toxic, should avoid skin contact and inhalation. Personal protective equipment such as gloves, goggles and face masks are required.
-Be careful during storage and handling to avoid violent reactions with oxygen, acids, etc.
-Should be stored in a dry, cool place, away from fire and flammable substances.
-Disposal of waste should follow local regulations and appropriate disposal.
